Medill student wins business journalism scholarship

The ASBPE Academic Foundation presenedt its fifth Business Journalism Scholarship to Emily Dreibelbis, a graduate university student at the Medill Faculty of Journalism, Media, Built-in Marketing and advertising Communications at Northwestern College.

She was awarded the $2,500 scholarship by the Foundation, which has supported excellence and instruction in business-to-business media due to the fact 2007.

Dreibelbis, who attained her bachelor’s diploma in history from Columbia College, came to the area of journalism just after seven many years of doing the job in business and technological know-how on the West Coastline, most a short while ago as a merchandise manager at Amazon for six yrs.

“Making the swap to a new business where I can use my background to improve my reporting has been immensely gratifying,” she explained in a assertion.
