Mahindra Scorpio N received an overwhelming response from customers and the manufacturer has now started the delivery of the lower Z4 variants too. The car have started reaching dealerships and we have seen videos of the same on internet. We all know that there is a difference between the top-end Z8 L and the Z4 variant when it comes to features. Here we have a video that compares the top-end Z8 L diesel automatic and Z4 diesel automatic SUV on video.
The video has been uploaded by The Car Show on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger shows the diesel automatic versions of Z4 and Z8 L variants of Scorpio N. The white coloured SUV seen here in the video is the Z4 variant and the other is Z8 L. On the outside, there are several differences between both the variants. The front grille for example has chrome in the Z8 L variant while the Z4 gets silver coloured accents. The headlamps are simple halogen units in Z4 and the Z8 L version gets projector LED units. It also gets LED DRLs, turn indicators and LED fog lamps. The Z4 misses out on LED turn indicators, DRLs and fog lamps.

The Z8 L gets front and rear parking cameras and there is a silver coloured skid plate on the front bumper. Both these features are missing on the Z4 variant. Coming to the side profile, the Z4 gets 17 inch steel rims while the Z8 L gets 18 inch dual-tone alloy wheels. There are body claddings on both the SUVs and turn indicators are mounted on the ORVMs. The ORVMs are electrically adjustable on both the variants while they can only be electrically folded in the higher model. The Z4 also misses out on electric sunroof, silver coloured roof rails, lower window chrome and request sensors on doors.
As we move to the rear, both the variants offer rear windscreen wiper and defogger, rear parking sensors however, only the Z8 L variant gets LED turn indicators and silver skid plate withe chrome accents on the rear bumper. In terms of boot space, both SUV remain same. They all come with front facing third row seats. In the Z8 L variant, the upholstery is leather while the Z4 version gets it in fabric. Both the variants get blak and brown dual-tone interiors. The Z8 L variant gets soft touch material on the door and dashboard while the Z4 gets hard plastic.
The power window panels on the door are finished in gloss black and the steering gets a leather wrap in Z8 L while the Z4 misses out on this. The Z4 variant does not get push button start but it does come with a touchscreen infotainment system. It is a smaller unit when compared to Z8 L. Z4 gets manual AC controls while the Z8 L gets dual-zone climate control. Both SUVs are powered by a 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine that generates 175 Ps and 400 Nm of peak torque. In the manual version, the same engine generates less power in Z4 variant. The price for Z4 variant is Rs 15.95 lakh, ex-showroom and the Z8 L is priced at Rs 21.45 lakh, ex-showroom.
